Are Little Blue Lamb shoes safe for my child?
Yes, our shoes are completely safe and comply with the strictest EU / European and US safety standards. Only premium quality, non-toxic products are used in making Little Blue Lamb shoes and they are also environmentally friendly!

How do I clean my shoes?
Our genuine leather shoes can be cleaned with a standard leather cleaner. PU or Patent PU shoes should be cleaned using a damp cloth applied to the surface. Some of our customers have washed their shoes in the washing machine on a low cycle, however, we would not recommend this! The TPR sole is washable so warm soapy water will be fine. Please don't emmerse the shoes fully in water. The lining on most of our shoes is genuine leather and isn't meant to be cleaned in this way. We advise using a suitable brush for cleaning our suede shoes. Looking after your shoes using the correct cleaning method should ensure they last longer.
What is PU / Patent PU?
PU or polyurethane is a man made material. PU leather is a split leather, or thin layer of leather that has a polyurethane coating and then embossed. It is commonly used in the furniture industry as it gives a uniform finish and a long lasting, like new appearance. It is mainly used in our Squeaky Shoes range and Patent PU leather upper means the shoes are given a shiny effect.
What is a TPR sole?
Thermo Plastic Rubber (or TPR) is one of the latest technologies to create mould-injected soles. They are non-slip, washable, more durable than ordinary leather soles and offer superior comfort and flexibility.
How do Squeaky Shoes work?
The shoes have an air cushioned sole and there is a valve inside the heel. With each correct heel to toe movement, the shoes emit a squeaky sound.

Squeaky Shoes are beneficial for new walkers and encourage the correct walking technique. Children love them and parents will have peace of mind knowing where their child is when they are out of sight and on the move. The shoes can be 'squeaky' or 'non-squeaky' shoes - the choice is yours!
My Squeaky Shoes won't 'squeak'!
We recommend you try the following before contacting us about non squeaking shoes to see if the problem can be rectified easily:
* Try swapping the valves between shoes to see if the sound improves.
* Check there is nothing blocking the hole or the valve, such as water or dirt.
* Remove the valve and insert a small screwdriver into the hole. Try clearing the pathway inside the sole as this sometimes improves the sound.
* Squeaky Shoes are ideal for new walkers as they encourage the correct heel to toe walking technique. If you child is walking toe to heel, the shoes may not 'squeak' properly.
If after trying our suggestions the shoes are still not squeaking correctly, please let us know and we will send some new squeaky valves (free of charge).
